Gibraltar - a Footballing Nation

UEFA have decided that they had no argument not to recognise Gibraltar as a footballing nation. ... much to Spain's dislike.

Nothing against Gibraltar, but I'd have thought that the Basque and Catalan nations would have a stronger moral and legal case.

I look forward to Catalonia, Basque Country, Brittany, Kurdistan and Flanders competing in the European and World Cup.

At least the Basques, Catalans and Bretons are European nations ... unlike the recently and bizarrely accepted Kazakhstan.

Then Wales would never qualify for a major tournament. Reduce the European teams, and bring back the Soviet Union, it gives Wales a better chance of qualifying!

Oh dear it seems even Welsh nationalists prefer ro talk about other nations and their desires out side the UK than mention the Cornish.

Good god if dirty little tax havens like Jersey and lumps of rock like Gibralta can have international sports teams then why not Kernow?

We'd fully support a Cornish Football team, and representation in all other sports for Cornwal/Kernow/Cernyw.

We didn't include a link to the Cornish FA, as we couldn't find one, but if there is such an association, please let us know.
